L'Inde s'oriente vers la dépénalisation de l'homosexualité

La Haute Cour de Delhi a jugé, jeudi 2 juillet, que les rapports sexuels entre adultes consentants de même sexe ne devaient plus être considérés comme un crime en Inde. L'article 377 du code pénal indien, qui criminalise les rapports homosexuels entre adultes consentants, constitue une "violation des droits fondamentaux", estime l'arrêt de la Haute Cour. Pour la première fois, la justice indienne dénonce ainsi une législation héritée du colonisateur britannique qui interdit l'homosexualité en la considérant comme "contre-nature".
