Le colibri et le vautour sont tous les deux des oiseaux du désert.
Le vautour n’y repère que la charogne. Il la recherche parce qu'il se nourrit de ce qui est mort. Il vit de ce qui n’existe plus.
L’oiseau-mouche, lui, ignore totalement la viande pourrie. Sa nourriture est fraîche, ce sont les fleurs du désert.
